The spotlight dances are one of the most important and emotional ceremonies of the night. They must be handled with the utmost care. You will be introducing couples. It is best to have a scripted introduction and outro for each dance in the spotlight dances. These dances are in order
- Bride & Groom’s First Dance
- Father / Daughter Dance
- Mother Son Dance
- Parents Dance
- Wedding Party Dance
Not all will be done every time. Special songs will be selected by the bride and groom ahead of time. These songs MUST be checked before you play them. Make sure everything will run uninterrupted and sounding perfect. There is a lot of advanced technique available for this. See Scripts & Structures section for examples.
Here are some Example Scripts to practice and help you. As with all of our scripts, make them your own, be real, and in the moment. We DO NOT want to sound scripted and unauthentic on the microphone.
