Intention of the class: To evaluate your skills as a Professional Mobile DJ and identify areas for improvement.

Welcome to your Mock Wedding!

All of the classes up until this point have been to provide you with the tools and the skills to be successful as a Mobile DJ.  This is where the rubber meets the road.  TREAT THIS LIKE A REAL EVENT.

Preparing for this class:  This class must be scheduled in advance, at which time you will be given your Mock Wedding Client Packet which contains the relevant details about the event.

The Scheduled Start time of the Mock Wedding is like the scheduled start time for a real event, meaning you must be set up and ready to start, appropriately dressed, with music playing, ON TIME.

The Mock Wedding is considered a LIVE EVENT, there are no do-overs.

You will go through and demonstrate all of the following events for a wedding.  BOLD events must be memorized, ITALIC events may be generated from a written script.

    • 2 slow dance sets (2 songs each)
    • 4 dance sets (3 songs each) showing well thought transitions

Criteria for Assessment

You will be assessed on the the following criteria

• Appearance of the setup & equipment (tidy cables, skirted table, etc)
• Appearance of the DJ (dressed appropriately)
• Microphone Skills
• Accuracy of the timeline
• Pronunciation of Names
