Download Game & Create Playlist.

Arrive on-site 30 minutes before scheduled game start time.

Set up laptop & plug into TV splitter system.  Select all slides and run slideshow.

Set up speaker & microphone.  Test audio.

Walk around to the table and invite people to play DJ Trivia.  (BE SURE TO SMILE, BE FRIENDLY!)

“Hi! Are you folks going to be joining us for DJ Trivia tonight?  It’s free, fun, and we’re giving away gift cards”

15 minutes before game start, make an announcement on the microphone.

Continue to sign in teams.

Record any league bonus points, or clue of the day bonus points.

When running the game, be sure to smile, have fun, heckle and be heckled.  Keep it family friendly.

*** CHEATING:  If a team complains about another team, or you suspect a team to be using their phones, address it promptly.  It is best to be non-confrontational.

Approach the team in question, and remind them to keep their phones in their pockets, or to come up by you to use them.

“Look, I know you’re not cheating, but other teams think you are. And if they give me the business, then I have to give you the business… so please just keep your phones in your pockets.  Thanks!”

If it is obvious that the team in question is still continuing to cheat, tell them you cannot accept their answer.   And do not select them to place.

Between Rounds 2 & 3, thank everybody for coming to play at LOCATION NAME, and read off their weekly specials and other events.  IE “Thursday night is the meat raffle!”

END OF THE GAME:

At the end of the game, select the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd, place winners.  And pass out the gift cards.

Go around to the tables and thank teams for playing, collect the pencils, and let them know you look forward to seeing them next week.
