The dollar dance is an old tradition and is very simple to do, but is often overlooked as a spot for a DJ to Shine.  In our area, it is traditionally an opportunity for the guests to help the Bride & Groom fund their Honeymoon Vacation.  In reality, it is a receiving line set to music.  See the Dollar Dance script in the Scripts & Structures for examples on how to do a Dollar Dance.

“Ladies and gentlemen,  It is now time for the dollar dance.  We welcome________& _______ back onto the dance floor along with their best man and maid of honor ________& _______ who will be collecting the dollars.  All we need are two lines, one to dance with __Groom____ and the other to dance with __Bride___. And now let’s all enjoy our dollar dance.”
